After you choose a paid migration in WooCommerce Importer or PrestaShop Importer, Shopify opens its charge approval page. If the browser shows a blank page instead, or reports HTTP 431 (Request Header Fields Too Large), Shopify may be rejecting oversized or corrupt Shopify cookies in that browser profile.

The charge approval page is hosted by Shopify, so the importer cannot clear those cookies or bypass the error.

1. Retry in a private window or fresh browser profile

Open a private or incognito window, or create a fresh browser profile. Sign in to Shopify Admin there, open WooCommerce Importer or PrestaShop Importer, and press the payment button again.

If Shopify’s charge approval page opens, you can complete the approval in that window. Keep the return or pending page open until the importer confirms the payment.

2. Clear Shopify site data in your original browser

If the private window or fresh profile works, clear cookies and site data for these domains in the original browser:

  • shopify.com
  • myshopify.com

This signs you out of Shopify in that browser. Sign in again, reopen the importer and retry the payment.

3. Contact Shopify Support if a clean profile also fails

If the same blank page or HTTP 431 error appears in a fresh browser profile, contact Shopify Support. Include:

  • A screenshot of the blank page or error
  • The date, time and time zone when it happened
  • Your myshopify.com shop domain
  • The charge reference, if one is shown

The failing page is part of Shopify Admin, so Shopify Support can investigate the request at their end.
