Fix a firewall or country block in WooCommerce Importer

WooCommerce Importer tests your connection before it scans your store. If the test receives an HTTP 403 response caused by a recognised country or firewall rule, the app shows a second message below Connection to your store failed.

This article applies when that second message appears. A connection can fail for other reasons, so do not change firewall rules if the app does not identify a firewall or country restriction.

Store Importer connects from Germany and the Netherlands. Both countries must be allowed; allowing only one still blocks some requests.

If the message names Hostinger CDN

1. In Hostinger, open Websites, select your website’s Dashboard, then open CDN.
2. Click Manage and open Traffic blocking.
3. If Allow only specific countries is enabled, add both Germany and the Netherlands to the allowed countries.
4. If you block specific countries instead, make sure neither Germany nor the Netherlands is blocked.
5. Save the rule, wait for it to take effect, then try the connection again in WooCommerce Importer.

If you use an IP allow-list

Allow the Server IP shown on the app’s Connect page. Always use the value shown there; it can change.

Then retry the connection test. If you use Cloudflare, follow the steps to allow our server IP in Cloudflare.

If the provider is not named

The app may report that a firewall or country restriction is blocking the connection without identifying the provider. Add the Server IP shown on the app’s Connect page to the allow-list in your firewall, security plugin, CDN or hosting control panel, then try again.

If you cannot find the rule, ask your hosting provider to allow requests from that IP. Tell them the blocked request receives HTTP 403.
