Can I import WooCommerce reviews, coupons and blog posts into Shopify?
Yes, with different steps. WooCommerce Importer imports supported coupons as Shopify discounts and selected WordPress posts as Shopify blog articles. Product reviews export as CSV files for Judge.me or Loox, which you import into your chosen review app separately. Coupon rules and blog layouts need review before launch.
How do product reviews move?
Choose your Shopify review app before migrating. WooCommerce Importer exports review CSV files for Judge.me and Loox. Reviews do not appear on your Shopify product pages until you import the file into that app. Check the result on your storefront after importing it.
Which coupon rules carry over?
Percentage, fixed-cart and fixed-product coupons map to Shopify discounts. Product and category restrictions map to imported Shopify products and collections. The WooCommerce individual-use setting prevents combining the discount with other Shopify discounts.
A per-customer usage limit of one becomes once per customer. Other per-customer limits, overall usage limits and email restrictions do not carry over. Compare your active discounts, restrictions and expiration dates with WooCommerce before announcing a sale. The data-transfer answer explains these mappings.
What happens to WordPress blog posts?
Select WordPress posts in WooCommerce Importer. Each imported post becomes a Shopify blog article, with its first category used as the Shopify blog. Every imported page and post gets a redirect from its original WordPress permalink. Product and category redirects are a separate migration option.
Images import while your old site keeps serving downloads. WordPress theme styling and SEO plugin fields for pages and posts do not transfer. Page-builder layouts may need rebuilding, shortcodes can remain as text and tags and comments stay behind. Check the WordPress pages and posts explainer before launch.
What should you test first?
The free tier includes up to 50 coupons, 100 pages and 100 posts. Compare an imported discount with its source rules and open a post with a complex layout in your Shopify theme. For missing images, follow the image recovery steps.
