How to disable order notifications for staff members

Temporarily turn off Shopify order notifications for staff while you import historical orders.

Store Importer does not send customer notifications when it imports historical orders. Shopify can still send new-order notifications to your staff for those orders.

Temporarily turn off staff order notifications before you start an order migration:

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings.
  2. Select Notifications.
  3. Open Staff notifications.
  4. For each order-notification recipient, select the three-dot menu and choose Turn off.

After the order migration finishes, return to Staff notifications and turn the recipients back on.

Only disable the recipients that should not be notified about imported orders. Other Shopify notifications are not affected.
