Remembered Migration Settings

Once you have run a migration with WooCommerce Importer or PrestaShop Importer, the app remembers your choices for the next migration from that same connection. When you start another migration from the same connection, follow the guided checklist and review the saved choices before starting. Use the advanced settings if you need individual options.

What is remembered

The app remembers what you chose to migrate and the related settings, including:

products, categories, customers, orders, coupons, manufacturers, pages, posts and publications;
language and translation languages;
for a PrestaShop multistore connection, the PrestaShop shop you selected;
order prefix, order notes, selected order statuses and their financial and fulfillment mappings;
product, page and post redirects;
product reviews, description images, metafields and product metadata;
date filters;
answers from the guided migration about scope and description style.

These settings belong to the store connection. A different connected store has its own saved settings.

What always resets

Two settings are deliberately not reused:

Overwrite existing products starts off for every new migration. Turn it on only when you intend to replace matching products.
A product-category filter set by support applies only to that migration and its follow-up jobs. It does not carry into a later, unrelated migration.

What happens after a rescan

Your selected order statuses and their financial and fulfillment mappings survive a rescan. You do not need to select or map them again.

WooCommerce Importer and PrestaShop Importer use your source store’s weight unit when it can be read and recognized. Weight numbers are copied without conversion. In WooCommerce Importer’s manual setup, the detected unit is preselected and you can change it. A rescan replaces a manually chosen unit with the detected one. If detection is unavailable, the unit falls back to kilograms or the previously saved value.

For PrestaShop multistore connections, choosing a different shop in the advanced dashboard starts a rescan immediately. When it finishes, review that shop’s counts and continue choosing your migration settings. The selected shop and the other migration settings are still available the next time you start a migration from that connection.

Repeat last migration

Repeat last migration copies the settings from your last migration job. Starting a separate new migration uses the settings saved for that store connection, with the two safety exceptions above.

Review existing Shopify data before starting

If Shopify already contains data and no cleanup has completed, choose whether to start clean, overwrite existing products or keep everything and add alongside. Starting clean permanently deletes the selected existing Shopify products, collections, orders and/or customers when you start a migration, including a demo. This can include data that was not imported by the app. Saving the choice deletes nothing and you can change it until you start. Review the selected data and acknowledge the deletion before proceeding. Replacing or deleting products can leave existing order line items unlinked from those products.

If a cleanup has already completed, the guided setup no longer shows Your Shopify data. For example, after cleanup during a test migration, moving to the full migration does not ask this question again or delete data a second time. You can also delete Shopify data separately before migrating. Read the Clean store steps and warnings.

Automatic syncs are included for 60 days from your first completed full migration, including free-tier, paid and fully discounted migrations. Demo migrations do not unlock automatic sync and reruns do not restart the period. Automatic sync is unavailable on development stores. We send a reminder on day 53, seven days before the free period ends. After the free period, you can continue automatic syncing in the app for US$9 per 30 days. Existing longer or unlimited free-sync arrangements remain in place. Manual updates stay free.
